Thirsty

The rebel of the local wine and beer scene. Sam is currently checking out the good life in OZ, where he is sourcing some lovely goodies to flock in Cambridge. Quirky place, great booze, and to top off fab street food. He’ll back soon so watch this space for great stuff from down South!

CWM

Having been voted 3 times as the UK’s NO.1 Independent Drinks Retailer, Cambridge Wine Merchants organise tasting events regularly at their wine bars in Bridge Street and Cherry Hinton. They recently have started with online tasting events to facilitate during the pandemic.

Bacchanalia

The wine god specialising in a fine range of craft beer. Bacchanalia Wine Merchants stocks an excellent range of wine, beer and spirits with branches on Victoria Road and Mill Road. These understated wine merchants are a must visit for both craft beers and high quality wines.

Noel Young

This award-winning wine merchant opened its doors in West Cambridge in 1991 and now can be found in Great Shelford, including a wine bar. They stock a fine selection of wines offering wines from well-known areas and Croatia, Lebanon, and Slovenia.

Brittania

Our newest Wine Merchant in Cambridge! In 2021 Matt Hodgson opened his shop and wine bar in North Cambridge, Arbury. The name Grape Britannia is a bit of a giveaway. Indeed they specialise in English and Welsh wines.

Wine Rooms

One of the top places for local wine lovers to hang out. Carefully curated fine wines with an often changing offering, even by the glass! You can look forward to a laid back sommelier style service, bespoke wine tastings, and delicious Mediterranean inspired food by Liz Young.

Cozzi & Boffa

It’s been a hard journey for Jason, starting Cozzi & Boffa 20 years ago, having spent much of that time travelling around the world searching for greater wine knowledge and experience! (that’s a hardship). Unpretentious service and all wines bought directly from the producers.

Amphora

Life is too short to drink bad wine. Chong’s wine shop-bar and tasting room is filled with joy-bringing good wine from undervalued regions, such as Portugal, Georgia, Armenia, Greece, and Moldova, as well as France, Spain, Italy, South Africa, Australia, USA, and other regions.

The Venetian

Tucked away in a passage close close to the main station, you can find the Venetian. A beloved fixture in the Cambridge dining scene, known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere, exceptional food, and unparalleled wine and beer selection.

Wine bars

One of the great things about Cambridge is the laid back small wine bars. You can find them in every nook of the city, from North to South and places you wouldn’t expect! Let us be your guide – check out the map -we’re sure there is one right on your doorstep!

Breweries

The English Craft Beer boom started about 8 years ago at a slow pace, but over the last 4 years, it’s gone through the roof. Breweries are popping up everywhere, but the quality varies. We’re lucky to have excellent breweries in Cambridge.
