Parker’s Tavern is not celebrating Christmas just yet, but Bridgemas instead, a tradition unique to Cambridge. Bridgemas is your opportunity to celebrate Christmas with friends who you may not be able to over the festive period. After all, you can choose your friends but not your family!
Only in Cambridge – Bridgemas
In Cambridge, we do Christmas twice. The Michaelmas term ends on the 30th of November, so a good excuse to start the festive celebrations early. The popular name for this is ‘Bridgemas’ amongst the students and now Parker’s Tavern have taken on this tradition too.
