National apple day celebrations
It’s that time of the year again to celebrate Nation apple day on the 21st of October which is the day we celebrate all things apple in Cambridge. Are you wondering where to go to in Cambridge to take part in fun apple activities?
About the events
Apple Day events can be large or small, from apple games in a garden to large village fairs with cookery demonstrations, games, apple identification, juice and cider, gardening advice, identifying apple varieties and turning your homegrown apples into one juice.
Here is our pick of Cambridge’s apple day celebrations
Burwash Manor
Celebrate all things apple at this year’s Apple Day at Burwash Manor. Don’t forget to bring your homegrown apples to be identified and to turn them into tasty juice. Enjoy traditional fairground rides, tractor rides, country crafts and delicious food and a spot of shopping at all the indie stores.
Saturday 9 October, £4 entrance per adult and under 12s free.
Cambridge Botanic Gardens – cancelled
The apple day at the Botanic Garden is a fun day out for the family during half term. You can look forward to apple tasting, identifications of apples, learn about the cultivation, games, apple activities and garden tours.

Something for the adults
On the 16th of October, Elle Events has put together an exciting Apple & Jalapeno dinner at the Cambridge Cookery School. These new kids on the block from Apple and Jalapeño, Cambridge’s one and only South American cuisine on wheels. The chefs will create a flavoured-filled evening of modern South American cuisine including apples!
