Say it with flowers….
Let one of the local experts create a stunning flower arrangement or bouquet for your mum and have it delivered to her/his house. Make sure you contact these local florists well in time, as Valentine’s Day is one of the busiest times of the year. Our favourite flower shops in Cambridge are The Manor Florist based at Burwash Manor, What the Fleur on Magdalene Street, Lauri Bloom, the Flower Project and the plant shop Small and Green are all located on Mill Road. Peter Graves has a stall on the Cambridge market opposite the Boss shop, and the talented Clare has a shop off New Market Road, but she only sells via pre-order on Clare Kenward Flowers.

The best sweet treats for mum
Is your mum a chocoholic? Then you have hit the right page. Like your mum, I love good quality chocolate, which is one of my greatest pleasures in life. Dark chocolate is loaded with nutrients that can positively affect your health, making it an even better excuse to spoil yourself with a piece of chocolate every day.
Where can you shop at Indies in Cambridge for good quality chocolate? Head off to All Saints Passage for the award-winning chocolate shop Hill Street Chocolate or the shop next door, the Cambridge Cheese Company. If your mum loves steaming cups of hot chocolate, you must visit Knoops Chocolate on Green Street. Heading to the East to the best street for Indie shops is Mill Road, the luxury deli shop Culinaris has a fine range of chocolates here.
I don’t have a sweet tooth, but I am a big fan of the artisan pastries of two local patissiers. They are the masters of creating delicious pieces of art! You can find Modigliani and Eclipse on Mill Road and Dulcedo in Edington, the main bakery of Dulcedo and Eclipse. Just so you know, Eclipse stocks a limited range of their fine pastries.
