DESCRIPTION:Celebrating the summer with music in the parks\nOne of the city’s favourite summer traditions makes a welcome return in June when Music in the Parks begins\, celebrating the season in musical style in some of Cambridge’s beautiful green open spaces. \nThe six-concert series is free and open to all\, taking place on selected Sunday afternoons between 3-5pm from June until September. \n21st June – Music in the Parks – Romsey Rec – Waterbeach Brass\n28th June – Music in the Parks – Cherry Hinton Hall – Cambridge Wind Band\n5th July – Dudley Road Rec – Some Voices Choir + support\n26th July – Nuns Way Rec – Chris Fox & Lizzy Hardingham (Cambridge Folk Festival)\n9th August – Jesus Green – City of Cambridge Brass Band\n6th September – Chesterton Rec – Soham Comrades Band \nThe series of six free concerts offers a mix of music\, all perfect for a sunny Sunday afternoon. From a brass band performing at our traditional Jesus Green date; uplifting multi-voiced close harmony choral creations; the joyous sound of wind instruments; the warm strains of traditional brass on a summery breeze plus\, as part of Cambridge Folk Festival Presents\, a special folk music themed concert at Cherry Hinton Hall. \nDelicious refreshments will be available to buy from NapolEat Pizza and Cambridge favourite\, Jack’s Gelato

Get ready for a dazzling display from Pains Fireworks\, as the night sky is transformed into a breathtaking and magical kaleidoscope of colour and light. \nThis free event is one of the city’s biggest\, bringing thousands of people from different communities together for an unforgettable night. \nAs well as the display itself\, people can also look forward to an array of food trucks serving delicious street food\, plus music & walkabout acts between 6pm-8:30pm. Making a return visit to Cambridge – this time illuminated for Fireworks Night – is Autin Dance Theatre’s spectacular 13-foot puppet from Out of the Blue and five puppeteers\, who stopped everyone in their tracks during the summer’s Out of the Ordinary outdoor arts festival. \nTimings: \nFireworks display: 7:00pm \nMusic\, food and walkabout acts 6pm- 8:30pm \nWe can’t wait to see you there for a night of fun\, food\, and fireworks!
