Cambridge Cookery School’s wine events are never dull or intimidating. Come along and build up confidence together with other wine enthusiasts in our wonderful premises off Hills Road.

This series kicks off with an introduction to the most important red and white wines of France, highlighted as the beginner’s wine course no. 1.

What’s on the programme apart from sampling fantastic wines?

1. Learn the grape varieties, how to pronounce them, and why climate and growing conditions influence so much about wine.
2. We will demystify the way wine is described.
3. How to get used to assessing tannins and acidity and getting under the skin (!) of words like minerality, earthiness and spice.
