Free outdoor cinema returns to Cambridge

The Big Screen on the Green is back at Cambridge Biomedical Campus, bringing films, live Wimbledon coverage and community events from Monday 29 June to Sunday 12 July. Funded by Cambridge Biomedical Campus Limited, the programme is free and open to everyone.

Evening outdoor screenings will feature popular titles including Madagascar, Mrs Doubtfire, Mamma Mia!, Bohemian Rhapsody, Dirty Dancing, La La Land, and Inside Out. Daytime screenings will include family favourites such as Up, Monsters Inc., WALL-E, Dogman, The Lion King and Wicked.

Community programming features a traditional Ceilidh, Campus Picnic and a comic art workshop led by local artist Russ Daff, where children can learn to draw their own comic.

Food and drink will be available to buy on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 July, including a bar and ice cream vendor. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own refreshments.

Attendees are encouraged to register in advance to assist with capacity planning, although walk-ins are also welcome.
